Extending or changing your status of stay: preparing documents with the integrated application form (통합신청서)

통합신청서 (integrated application form, 별지 제34호) is a single form shared by many procedures at the Korea Immigration Office: extension of the period of stay (체류기간 연장), change of status of stay (체류자격 변경), and foreigner registration / card reissuance (외국인등록·재발급). A checkbox (신청구분) on the form determines which procedure you are applying for.

When you need it: before your visa expires (apply for an extension early, usually within the permitted window before the expiry date); when you want to switch to a different status (for example D-10 → E-7); or when your residence card is lost or damaged.

What to prepare: passport, residence card, photo, fee, and the documents specific to each procedure (employment contract, financial documents, certificate of enrollment, etc.). Book an appointment on HiKorea (hikorea.go.kr) at the office in charge. Fill in the fields accurately: full name (as in your passport), foreigner registration number (외국인등록번호), address in Korea, and phone number.
